Domestic fleet production strenghtens the security of supply
Rolling stock maintenance provider and railcar manufacturer VR FleetCare and UPM Forest have entered into an agreement for the delivery of more than 150 roundwood wagons. The first wagons are scheduled to enter service by the end of 2026, with delivery of the full fleet to be completed by 2028.
VR FleetCare Developed Transfer Bogies
SJ’s X40 train arrived in Oulu by rail from Sweden using the transfer bogies developed by VR FleetCare. The solution will enable the transfer of European gauge rolling stock by rail to VR FleetCare’s locations for maintenance or modernisation. Innovation supports sustainable development and makes the transfer of rolling stock more efficient.
